Electronic Shadow - France
Electronic Shadow was founded in 2000 by Naziha Mestaoui (1975), a Belgian multimedia designer and architect, and Yacine Aït Kaci (1973), a French multimedia designer and producer, who joined their strength and knowledge to create a new sector: hybrid design. The multidisciplinary approach promoted by Electronic Shadow centres around a main theme: the visible and invisible relationships between the real and the virtual. The Electronic Shadow method draws on a conceptual and theoretical approach to implementing these concepts into real contexts. Before Electronic Shadow, Naziha MESTAOUI and Yacine AIT KACI amassed years of experience working on the principles of information architecture Naziha in architecture and applied urban planning with projects such as the i-tube, lightscapes and liquid axis (award by the urban planning contest Thessaloniki, a cultural capital in 1997); Yacine in cultural multimedia and television with projects such as the DVD-ROM Louvre, a virtual tour, edited by Montparnasse Multimédia, which earned a number of international awards (EMMA, InVision, FNAC Golden Arrow, etc.), and animated sequences for the popular science TV show Archimède, another award-winning product, carried by the Arte channel.
