1961 Born in Paris.
1983 - onwards "Qui? Résiste", a collection of manuals
he makes alone (10 issues). Around the theme he experiments writing
(citations, collage, détournement) and graphic forms, melting
texts and images. In this context he began to design typefaces. The
Minimum family is designed for the demands of the screen, the Quantange
is an orthographico-phonetico-plastic character font, the Basnoda
allows to write vertical palindromic sentences, the Sintetik ruthlessly
compresses the language. He designs also the Spell me, the Gararaide,
the Garadico, the Minuscule, the 3 by 3, the Scratched out, the Cutting
out, the Mirror, the Durmou, and so on.
After he has created the Gararond, an irreverent homage to Garamond,
he has drawn Aligourane, 5 digital fonts designed for the Tuaregs
in their traditional writing system. The aim is to allow the Tuaregs
at last to use their own script with modern technologies of the written
word, whether the medium be printing or screen-based devices.
He follows on with his graphic research on various media and platforms,
books, posters, video, screen work and exhibitions.
