Digital design, new materialities the object, the service, the arena.
During the industrial revolution, designs centre of gravity shifted towards the engineer and the industrialists. The resulting products were deprived of any plastic, sensual or desirable proposals Today, information flows are the engines of our daily life, the information society is again addressing the issue of the processes of design, creation, production, applications and the finality of contemporary objects. Within such a landscape, what proposals can be made for « industry » today? What are the designers positions and proposals? What role can he play in a society such as ours, invaded by « virtual objects », completely disrupting our business models due to the merger of production and broadcasting tools, access to knowledge, geography of communities and the very concept of culture itself?
